About Cartwright Springs Brewery

Spend a few minutes in the company of Cartwright Springs Brewery owner André Rieux, and it will quickly become obvious that beermaking is his passion. More than your average brewery, Cartwright Springs offers the full brewing experience, with information on the brewing process and environmentally friendly practices utilized.

André will tell you all about the brewery, and how Cartwright Springs’ beer is made with fresh, clear spring water from an artesian well only 15-metres away from the brewery door. The difference in flavour the spring water makes is astounding! Sample their delicious brews with unique flavours that will tickle your senses, including Ginger Ale, Spruce Tip IPA, Kinburn Honey Lager, Crème CaramALE, I’d Tap That: Pilsner, Coffee Stout and Pakenham Bitter.

In honour of Lanark County’s reputation as the Maple Syrup Capital of Ontario, Cartwright also carries a Maple Porter (seasonally) made entirely from maple sap instead of water. This delicious drink is the perfect pick-me-up in early spring, but supplies are limited.

Visit Cartwright Springs any time of the year, but in the summer months this spot is the perfect place to enjoy their walking trails, which are open all year round, and then stopping for a picnic lunch (with beer, of course!) in their outdoor space tucked away in the beautiful wilds of Mississippi Mills. Feeling snacky? Cartwright also has an outdoor kitchen that runs on the weekends during the summer.
