Immerse yourself in the history of the town of Carleton Place and the township of Beckwith at the Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum. The museum is located in a beautiful stone building, originally constructed in 1972 at the Town Hall and “lock up” before it was converted into Victoria School in 1879. The school saw hundreds of kids pass through the doors until it closed in 1969.
The museums main floor features permanent exhibits telling the story of the area and chronicling the town’s history. The Foss Room hosts temporary exhibits, workshops and events! Admission to the museum is free.
